Al-Munajem Cold Stores Co. is one of Abdullah
Ali Al Munajem & Sons companies, which was established
in 1950 by Sheikh Abdullah Ali Al Munajem in Riyadh
city. The company's commerce activities started in
the trade of local fruits and vegetables as well as
imports from Lebanon, Syria, and Turkey during that
time.
In 1964 Sheikh Abdullah Ali Al Munajem established the first cold storage facility in Riyadh city located in the Diera area for storage and preservation of imported food.
The success of
the Diera Cold Store led to an expansion with the
import of poultry and meat. First shipment of imported
chicken was 100 tons from France through the Jeddah
Islamic port.
Today Al Munajem
Cold Stores Co. imports more than 200,000 (two hundred
thousand) tons to cover consumer demands in the Kingdom
of Saudi Arabia.
Al Munajem Cold
Stores Co. imports and markets several famous commercial
food brand names demanded by consumers that are supported
by a large sales team and fleet of refrigerated trucks
exceeding more than 1,000 trucks across all regions
of the Kingdom.
In 2007 Al Munajem
Cold Stores Co. crowned its ongoing success by achieving
ISO 9001-2000 and HACCP certifications.
Al Munajem Cold Stores Co. is considered to be one of the largest Arabian companies in the import, storage, and distribution of chilled and frozen food industry.
Al Munajem Cold Stores Co. has several cold storage facilities in a number of regions across the Kingdom covering almost more than 35% of total local consumption.
